From P. kawakamii × P. tomentosa × P. fortunei, Z07 stands out for its excellent cold hardiness (down to –33 °C), its vigour and its wide adaptability. Versatile, it is particularly suited to timber, agroforestry and biomass.
From P. tomentosa × P. fortunei, Shan Tong combines good cold hardiness (to around –28 °C), even growth and a naturally straight trunk. It is especially valued for forestry plantations and quality timber production.
From P. tomentosa × P. fortunei, 9501 is a versatile selection offering a good balance between growth, cold hardiness and adaptability. It suits timber, agroforestry, windbreak hedges and melliferous plantations.
From P. tomentosa × P. fortunei, 9502 is characterised by steady, even growth and good adaptation to different soil types. It is an interesting choice for forestry, mixed and agroforestry plantations.
From P. tomentosa × P. fortunei, 9503 — also known as Oxytree — is a vigorous selection geared towards high productivity. It is particularly suited to timber, biomass and high-density plantations.
A very hardy pure species (tolerating around –25 to –27 °C), renowned for its spectacular fragrant, melliferous purple blossom. Highly versatile, it suits ornamental use, beekeeping, reforestation and cold climates.

It depends on your climate, soil, available water, planting goal and the format you want. Hybrids are often chosen for professional projects, while Tomentosa, Elongata and Fortunei suit seeds, trials, specific projects or particular climates. What is the difference between seeds, root cuttings and bare-root stumps?
Seeds let you start from scratch and are available for non-hybrid varieties only. Root cuttings are root segments that produce a new plant, available for all varieties, with faster establishment. Bare-root stumps are a larger format with stronger vegetative reserves — ideal for professional and large-scale projects.
What is the success rate of your root cuttings?
Our root cuttings show excellent potential. In our own trials and grower feedback, we've observed up to 98% success under good planting conditions. Results still depend on freshness, soil, moisture, temperature, timing and care after delivery.
When is the best time to plant Paulownia?
Spring is generally best, after the hard frosts, once the soil begins to warm up. In mild regions, autumn planting can also work. Avoid periods of intense frost, drought or extreme heat. A free growing guide is included with every order.
Do you offer free international shipping?
Yes, we offer free international shipping to most destinations. For a few countries or orders that require particularly costly transport or special formalities, a contribution may be needed — in which case we contact you first, and nothing is charged without your agreement.

Do you ship internationally, and what about customs?
Yes, we ship many products internationally depending on the country, product type and regulations. Seeds are generally simpler to ship than roots or stumps. A phytosanitary certificate can be provided when required. International customers should also check their own country's import rules.
