The Paulownia Hybrid 9503, commonly known under its commercial name "Oxytree", is an advanced selection of the well-established 950X hybrid line. Created from the cross Paulownia fortunei × Paulownia tomentosa, it is engineered for rapid annual growth, strong cold resistance and broad climate adaptability, making it suitable for a wide range of regions — from temperate Europe to subtropical and tropical zones. Although the 950X hybrids share the same genetic parents, each is a distinct variety with its own characteristics — the 9503 is the most refined selection of the line, geared towards high productivity.
Renowned for its stability and uniformity, the 9503 is highly valued in professional plantations, biomass programs, timber production and ecological reforestation. Its robust genetics, straight trunk formation and consistent early-stage vigour make it a reliable choice for growers seeking fast results and dependable long-term performance.
Each bare-root cutting from KiriGreen is premium Grade A, carefully selected for thickness, vitality and internal health. Root cuttings are the most economical and reliable way to start a plantation — each is a segment of root that develops into a new, genetically identical plant, conditioned for spring planting to ensure excellent establishment and vigorous early growth in a wide range of environments.
This format is particularly suited to forestry plantations, high-density and biomass projects, timber production, veneer, agroforestry and ecological reforestation.

Advantages of Root Cuttings
- The most economical way to start a Paulownia plantation, ideal for trials and large-scale projects.
