The Paulownia Shan Tong (Paulownia fortunei × Paulownia tomentosa) is a highly resilient hybrid, specially selected in Europe and China for its fast growth, strong cold tolerance and stable timber quality. It is the reference hybrid for continental climates, widely planted across Central and Eastern Europe where winters are harsh and require exceptional resistance.
Prized for its naturally straight trunk and even development, Shan Tong produces quality lightweight timber and regrows several times after cutting — making it a dependable long-term choice for both commercial and ecological projects.
Each bare-root cutting from KiriGreen is premium Grade A, naturally conditioned and prepared for spring planting. Root cuttings are the most economical and reliable way to start a plantation — each is a segment of root that develops into a new, genetically identical plant, ensuring strong establishment and high success rates.
This format is particularly suited to forestry plantations, timber production, veneer and plywood, biomass projects, agroforestry and ecological reforestation.

- A free growing guide is included with every order to help you get the best possible results.
