The Paulownia Hybrid 9502 is an enhanced selection within the renowned 950X hybrid lineage, developed to deliver greater uniformity, superior timber quality and improved plantation stability. Created from the cross Paulownia fortunei × Paulownia tomentosa, it was designed to build on the earlier 9501 selection by offering more consistent growth, straighter trunk formation and better overall productivity. Although the 950X hybrids share the same genetic parents, each is a distinct variety with its own characteristics — the 9502 stands out for its uniformity and plantation stability.
Recognised by professional growers and forestry specialists, the 9502 has earned a reputation as a highly reliable and stable performer, particularly valued in large-scale timber production, reforestation programs and commercial planting projects that demand predictable results and homogeneous tree development.
Each bare-root cutting from KiriGreen is premium Grade A, carefully selected for health, thickness and rooting potential. Root cuttings are the most economical and reliable way to start a plantation — each is a segment of root that develops into a new, genetically identical plant, conditioned for spring planting to ensure excellent establishment and vigorous early growth, even in challenging climates.
This format is particularly suited to forestry plantations, timber production, veneer and plywood, furniture, reforestation and large-scale commercial projects.
